Sheep without a Shepherd
Fr Michael Rasicci’s homily for Father’s Day, the 3rd Sunday after Pentecost, 06/18/2023.
Jesus sends His disciples out to the Jewish population, asking them to spread the Good Word, to heal the sick, raise the dead, and to bring the Good News to the lost people of Israel.
At our baptism, Jesus came to us and asks us to do the same in ways that work for us.
We are all sheep without a shepherd and Jesus and the Holy Spirit, with us since our baptism, show us how to treat others.
All of us are children of God.
(Readings: Exodus 19:2 8a; Psalm 100; Romans 5:1-8; Matthew 9:35-10:23)
