In A Personal Relationship with Jesus
Fr Thomas Atamian’s homily for the 4th Sunday after Pentecost, 07/03/2022, Calvary Episcopal Church, Batavia, IL
In the first Lesson today, God heals a Sumarian General from Leprosy. Luke speaks to in in Chapter 2. The Jewish people believed that they had an exclusive relationship with God and His Messiah. Jesus came for the entire world. When he began sharing about that in His teachings, his listeners were enraged.
Baptized Christians are part of Christ’s body on Earth. Each of us is in a personal relationship with Jesus. We need to grow into this relationship.
(Readings: 2 Kings 5: 1-14,; Psalm 30; Galatians 6: 1-16; Luke 10: 1-11, 16-20)
