As Jesus was at the Last Supper with His disciples, He told them that, when Jesus returned to the Father, He would send the Holy Spirit to be with them--and within them. After His crucifixion and resurrection, the Holy Spirit came to the Early Christians in Jerusalem gathered for a harvest festival called the Pentecost.
