Our Salvation Came After Mary Said Yes to God
Fr Michael Rasicci’s homily for 12/22/2024, the 4th Sunday of Advent, Calvary Episcopal Church, Batavia, IL.
In today’s Gospel (Luke 1), Luke speaks of Mary’s visit to Elizabeth while both were pregnant. John the Baptist, in Elizabeth’s womb, reacted strongly to the presence of Jesus, in Mary’s womb. Humans communicate with our bodies. Jesus came present to save us, according to God’s will, after Mary said “yes” to God.
