“Do You Love Me?”–Homily–3rd Sunday of Easter
Fr Michael Rasicci’s homily for the 3rd Sunday of Easter, 05/01/2022.
This was the third time Jesus appeared to his disciples after His resurrection. He asks Simon Peter this question three times, then gives Simon Peter
a command each time–‘Feed my lambs.’ “Tend my sheep.” “Feed my sheep.” “Follow me.”
As baptized Christians, the Holy Spirit and the Christ are with us and within us.
Challenge: Allow Christ through the Holy Spirit to ask us, “Do You Love Me?” and be aware of how we want to respond and what commands Christ may have for us in response to our answer.
(Readings: Acts 9: 1-20; Psalm 30; Revelation 5: 11-14; John 21: 1-19)
