All Saints Sunday–Believe and Have Everlasting Life
Fr Michael Rasicci’s homily for All Saints Sunday (24th Sunday after Pentecost), 11/03/2024, Calvary Episcopal Church, Batavia, IL
In today’s Gospel, Jesus raises Lazarus from the dead. All Saints Sunday is a day remember those who have passed into Spirit before us. Jesus has promised us, confirmed in our baptism, that those who believe in Jesus will have everlasting life.
While remembering those who have gone into Spirit before us, we also need to live our lives following the teachings of Christ–especially in loving and service.
(Readings: Wisdom 3:1-9; Psalm 24; Revelation 21:1-6; John 11:32-44; John 6:47)
