Jesus sends His disciples out to the Jewish population, asking them to spread the Good Word, to heal the sick, raise the dead, and to bring the Good News to the lost people of Israel.
At our baptism, Jesus came to us and asks us to do the same in ways that work for us.
We are all sheep without a shepherd and Jesus and the Holy Spirit, with us since our baptism, show us how to treat others.
All of us are children of God....

As we need to live the "mystery of our lives," so, too, do we need to live the "Mystery of the Holy Trinity"--Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We receive the Holy Spirit at Baptism and the Holy Spirit is with us throughout our lives. When we invoke the Holy Spirit in our lives, we can become immersed in Christ's love and mercy and find ourselves extending this same love and mercy out into the world. Rather than being shy, we need to embrace the Holy Spirit inside of us....

As Jesus was at the Last Supper with His disciples, He told them that, when Jesus returned to the Father, He would send the Holy Spirit to be with them--and within them. The Spirit of Truth, always inside and supporting regardless of what is happening. By virtue of our baptism, He is inside us and we are inside of Him....

Jesus Christ is the "Good Shepherd." In today's Gospel (John 10: 1-10), Jesus speaks about being the gate to the sheepfold. His sheep recognize His voice and He will lead them.
