God, Have Mercy on Me, a Sinner

Jesus tells the parable about a Pharisee and a tax collector, The Pharisee was praising himself and the tax collector was asking God for forgiveness.
We, too, need to ask God for forgiveness–no matter how much we may think we have done.
Readings: Joel 2: 23-32; Psalm – 65; 2 Timothy 4: 6-8, 16-18; Luke 18: 9-14)
