In today's Gospel (Luke 1), Luke speaks of Mary's visit to Elizabeth while both were pregnant. John the Baptist, in Elizabeth's womb, reacted strongly to the presence of Jesus, in Mary's womb. Mary, a virgin promised to Joseph, had a love of God in her heart and listened to a request from God given to her by an angel.
